Laboratory Associate Position
Founded in 2013, Rincon Bio is a pre-clinical CRO focusing on in vivo cancer efficacy studies, both allogeneic (human cell models) and syngeneic (immunotherapy models). Our clients range from university PIs to mid-size pharmaceutical companies. Rincon Bio is a US-based organization, born from a desire to simplify the process of running cancer efficacy studies, and to provide domestic quality at competitive prices.
The Laboratory Associate is a full-time position that carries out in vivo efficacy studies, specifically tumor models (xenografts and syngeneic studies), under the oversight of a Project Manager or Scientific Director.
Job duties include:

Culturing cancer cells

Handling laboratory mice and rats; general animal husbandry

Implanting cells in mice

Dosing mice with test compounds

Weighing and measuring mice

Documenting tumor model data and study findings

Writing study reports

General lab and vivarium duties
-
Understanding scientific rationale for studies and study design
Requirements/Qualifications:

BS Degree in a life science or biochemistry

Some Part- or Full-Time research laboratory experience required, but previous experience specifically with lab animals or cancer models is not required - Rincon Bio is willing to train the applicant

Attention to detail is extremely important, and ability to handle some repetitive tasks

Interest in cancer drug discovery, and a desire to learn about and be part of cutting edge scientific discovery
